GAM 210: Survey of Game Engines

Students will explore the foundations of game engine technology, such as industry-leading platforms Unreal Engine and Unity. This introductory course is designed for those new to game development and will guide students through the core tools, workflows, and principles necessary to bring digital worlds to life. Using hands-on, real-world examples, students will gain familiarity with essential concepts such as level design, asset integration, basic scripting, and visual effects. By the end of the course, students will be able to navigate a game engine environment confidently and will have the skills to begin creating their own interactive experiences.
