Foundations of Creative Producing
This course provides an introduction to the history and practice of producing within the entertainment industry and explores the wide range of responsibilities across producing roles in film and television. Through case studies on various producers and methodologies, students study the process of producing visual media and the producer's involvement in bringing projects to fruition. Additionally, the class hones in on introductory lessons in: script analysis from a producing perspective, producing student films, producers as leaders, developing producorial faculties, and ethics in producing & how to lead trauma-informed sets.
